@blackie. I bought the scoop before they offered the one without the PU badge... But I don't hate it.. silver would be more cool but I don't really care.. It's so freakin small I need to say that PU were VERY helpfull and kind to me. I bought a scoop on the USA ebay and it was a counterfire (fake one). I didn't knew that and the scoop broke... so I mailed PU and then they told me it was a fake. Then they made me a GREAT price for a new scoop incl. postage. So I ordered one. So service is IMHO OK. (you know where OK comes from?? 0 killes)

The product itself is imo a good product.. It fits, looks sharp and the color.. accept for the badge also great in combination with the JCW carbon. I have seen loads of different colors in carbon but this looks great. So no hassle over here with PU

Cheers

Coen
I agree about the badge color. Someone was not thinking at Palo Uber when they went with gold over silver, considering how many more color combinations would have worked better with silver. Sort of odd, when this Palo Uber fellow is supposed to be such a renowned artist!

As to buying a counterfeit one, that is really too bad and a nice ending that the PU folks sold you another at a discount. Would you care to say how much PU charged you for the new genuine one (or did they swear you to secrecy)?

Many PU skeptics will probably surmise the eBay one was NOT a fake at all, but that was the cover story PU sold you on in order to protect their reputation. I mean think about it; who would go to the trouble of trying to duplicate such a relatively obscure hood scoop design (that was essentially out only a short while) only to sell it on eBay? How much could the counterfeiter make and how many could they sell? Seems like too much trouble for too little profit. How much was it selling for on eBay? Some NAM members have basically claimed that PU's whole operation is a fraud (that an artist named Palo Uber does not exist, that the company's ownership roots are questionable, and that their products mostly are misrepresented on quality and are also over-priced).

I have had some problems with their stuff (particularly their Tuner Lugs) and did not like the way the company handled the problems, although I pretty much agree with your comments on the CF hood scoop, but like I indicated, only time will tell if it is a quality product or just a good looking facade at the start. Good luck with yours, as it does look good on your Mini.
