Interior/Exterior Removing 2002 MCS Rear Wing
Removing 2002 MCS Rear Wing
HELP!!
This thing is on like there's no tomorrow!
I've tried the hair dryer and fishing line, and plastic wedges.
I've done some prying with some damage results. (OUCH!)
I'm ready to take this to a body shop fro removal if necessary.
I have a M7 wing to put on - hope I'm not sorry.
Have any ideas?
Thanks,
Paul

That would be an unfortunate oversight... You really have to pull to get that thing off, but I didn't have to go the the lengths you have so far....

I agree taking off the bolts does make taking the wing off a lot easier.
On a serious note (after removing the bolts
), I used a hair dryer, fishing line and a lot of patience and it came off no damage. It helps to have a second person maning the hairdryer while you work the fishing line. Also since the bolt studs are in the middle you have to work the line from both sides and top/bottom.
Hey, that's funny, it's true, I'm from Cali but I ain't that stupid, but the you can't take anything for granted on NAM.
The bolts came off easily, its he double-stick that's got my goat.
So, try just pulling on it? Don't thin that's going to work, Lucy.
Any one else?
