can someone please explain what needs to be done to install a cooper bumper on a cooper S? i have a pending sale of my bumper but we want to make sure it will fit on the S. any assistance is excellent, thanks.

 

if it is the front bumper, it is a direct fit, no issues. If it is the back bumper, the rear valence needs to be interchanged to properly relocate the exhaust cut out....but outside of that, the rear is also a direct fit.

 

on the front bumper the fog lights are in different places and the holes in the aluminum bumper support may need to be enlarged..

i took an r53 front bumper and put it on my r50 and those where the 2 problems i had.

on the rear 03Indigo is correct with the black trim pieces but the trim doesnt fit perfectly ...it does fit but you can tell if you look closely that the curvature of the edge of the bumper does not line up.

 

good point, I don't have the fog lights, so not something I normally think about
