The inboard lights are Hella 500's, the outboard lights are Hella Optilux.

The 500's throw a long narrow beam, similar to high beams, wheras the Optilux are more like floods, they throw a wide arch of light all over the road. I have mine aimed right now to act as aux lights, so I can turn them on in traffic, although you have to aim the optilux pretty low to not blind everyone on the road.

I think it is Palo Uber, looks really sharp with the small lights on the outside.

the pu bar is the best looking... However I wont buy it until i see some good close up's of it installed with no lights. It would have to be removable for me... basically i need to get off my **** and make my own brackets so i can add and remove lights whenever i want.

Alright guys. I posted this up before. Here is a link of pictures
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...0&ppuser=26518

I did the same thing as shown in the pics and wired everything nicely and love the light output but , the lights shake like HELL. The brackets seemed pretty stable to me but now after putting everything back together it sux to know that the lights shake really badly. I gotte fix the problem by buying a light bar I guess.

I took another look and it really seems like the bracket is really stable and the lights bolt isnt tight enough. I will check tomorrow morning and let you guys know if the 4 doller brackets are worth it.

That looks awesome man!! Did you use the rally light bar to mount those, or did you find another way to mount those. Some way that isn't 200 dollars perhaps?? hah.

Looked at it again....I guess i need a bar that holds better against road vibration. I am looking at the alta bar and I think its the way to go. What I am really curious about is that I seen this member do the same thing I did and have heard no complains about him so hopefully he can chime in before I get a bar ordered.

I've seen your method done lots of times.....seems like their might be a problem between your light and mounting it to the bracket.....and not the bracket moving around. The bracket looks like it would definitely be secure enough to hold things together.

Here's another method for people to consider- this is the way I did it.

I think it is the brackets. Maybe mine are a bit thinner then what other people have used. I simply hit the light with my finger and it just starts shaking for a good couple seconds. I might just take everything apart again and see what I can do to make those brackets a bit stronger.

Coouuper S before you bail out on your backets, I would recommend that you tie the two pieces of angle together with a piece of aluminum flat bar - you could probably just bolt it on. I would think that would stabalize them.

I think i know what you mean exactly and I thought about it myself , but the bumper is in the way. There is no room of putting anything to make it more stable.

What about doubling the "L" Brackets up? Giving it more support possibly. I'm planning on using the "L" Brackets for my set-up I'm going to see how one works if its shakey I'm doubling them up.

I just picked up a set of really thicker L brackets. I will do this sometime next week and I am 100% SURE that the shaking will go away. Should of done it right at the first time.

Where are you finding these brackets? I'm thinking same location for mine.

The first once I got were from home depot. which they do also sell thicker once as well. I will post a picture up tomorrow. The once I got this time were from a metal shop really close to my house which I got some extra if you would like me to send it to you for free but would need to pay for shipping. They are really heavy duty brackets.

I will consider that...but try yours first and see if they work.

Questions: How did you mount them to the bumper...rivets or screws? How many holes did you drill? Very interested, that location is what I want as well. Take lots of pictures when you replace the brackets!

Thanks!

The spot is great. Looks the best on the car in my opinion.

Dont know why I had to paint it black becides the fact of making it look clean.

Only if they were a bit thicker... The new once I got are a bit thicker but they are ALOT stronger, so it should work out just fine.
