MINI FINI Sport-Link II 2007

Has any one installed the MINI FINI Sport-Link II on a 2007 Mini Cooper yet?

I'm insterested in knowing how difficult it was and if it could be done yourself (if you have a decent garage or lift available). Also what all is involved in installing it.

Thanks for any info.

Mike...

I installed the Sport Link on my 2007 R56 Cooper S a couple of weeks ago. I did it in my garage and never had to lift the car off the ground. It is do-able with ordinary tools. There is a thread around from Octaneguy on installing one on an earlier car that shows most of the steps.

Thanks I was thinking no one either wanted to respond to me or just no one had done it yet. I'll search for the other thread to see what I can find out.

How hard was it to locate the position for the holes to come through the bumper and what did you use to drill the holes?

Thanks,

No hole drilling required. The Sport Link uses existing holes and fasteners. It goes between the car body and the aluminum bumper casting.

No I meant the plastic rear bumper panel.

{Actually I just found the link you mentioned so that gives me more then enough information. Did the Sport Link II come with full instructions on all the steps needed for install? And Octaneguy's steps just helped?}

Sounds like I'm about ready to put mine on order.
