their is an after market gas cap cover that is round ,flat , alluminium with screws around the rim and it fits "only" on cooper models . I think they look cool and wonder why they wont fit on my "S" ? or if sombody makes one that does fit my cooper S. doesnt seem like it would be that hard to take the "S" cap off and replace it with a flat cover. THanks for any info. Peter.

I know you can put the S style on a Cooper, so I imagine it works both ways.

 

itjpunk7, That i a nice one. will that fit on an "S" ? where did that one come from? Oh just realzed i'm in the wrong year.

 

I have an S style on my Cooper, but the Cooper's OEM fuel door is just a flat door that is not indented like the one on the S. The door I have is chromed [and looks like a billet door], but fits onto the existing Cooper fuel door with 3M tape...the original door itself is not removed.

I don't thisk that style would work on an S, unless one gets the REAL billet style sold by Moss or Mini Mania. That type, I believe, DOES replace the S OEM door.
