Last night on Detroit Tuned I saw an 05 center console marketed toward he 04-06 minis. I like the way it looks, and I was wondering if anyone had done it. Hows it work?

 

The console insert (behind the lighter socket) is a snap to replace.

The oddiments tray insery (located around the e-brake) is a bit tougher but still pretty easy overall.

You can find instructions on the Redline (I think that was the name) website that sells the new shifter/e-brake covers) on how to remove the plastic bits for the oddiments tray found on the 05-06 models.

 

I Have the oddments tray and the thing for behind the cig lighter. I'm talking about litterally replacing the 04 EBrake console with an 05 EBrake console. the advantage of this is having an oddments tray thats built into the Ebrake console, rather than a flimsy rubber tray.

 

And you will still find instructions for removing the e-brake surround on the Redline website.

Alright well thanks. I ordered the 05 console from Detroit Tuned today. I may have it by the end of the week. Might not... When I get it I'll let you all know how it works so if youre interested, I'll get somethin up as soon as possible

 

because of stocking issues and the fact that all the rain out here slowed down FedEx, i didnt get my piec until Saturday. I got it in Sunday and I love it. Its just a subtle twek to the interior and it eliminates the gap between the ebrake console and shifter console. it looks good. ill get pics up tonight if im lucky
