320 is too coarse, 600 or 800.

as long as there is paint on there, no need to primer unless you want to
smooth out some blemishes.

i use 400grit with light pressure.

you can fill those uneven low spots with spot bondo and sand them
down smooth.

yah, you can get a tube (like a toothpaste tube) of Bondo that is
pre-mixed. just toss the first dab out cause it's real watery...

then put a dab out in a small plastic plate or cup and use a
squeegee to apply. you don't need a hole lot. maybe a dime dab
for a moderate scuff.

no, i didn't take picts since i did the repair on factory 17's (boring ).
i still need to paint the other 2 to match color on both sides.
the silver duplicolor i used is slightly yellower than the stock subaru
silver.

im currently running ASA AR1's (mesh) as summer season wheels so
still got a few months before i put the factory 17's on.

sounds good. unless you're in a temperature/humidity controlled warehouse,
make sure the temp is over 70F and humidity under 65%RH for best results.

I think I used 1000 grit sandpaper or finer. 2200 seems familiar. I'd have to look.

So it's hot down there, huh? I'll be in Orlando for a long holiday weekend. Unfortunately, not with the MINI, decided to fly in. The straight 15-16 hour drive is too long unless I'd be there over a week. Should I only bring my shorts?

Looks good! I thought about doing mine in Indi Blue to match my MINI, but decided not to, but the black looks sweet!

Someone at the MOTD had painted the inner sections in that light blue to match his MINI. They were sharp!

some stuff came up, thats why this took so long, but the rims are done, my body shop guy did it, primed, paint, and cleared them. he was going to powder coat them, but they didnt fit in his machine, so i said the hell with it, and he painted them. the finish will still look great, so im not worried. they're getting put back on today, and ill deffinently have pics up at about 5pm later today (after work)

best thing, he only wants 60 bux! (materials) but im gonna give him at least 100...he sand blasted my old paint off, etc....still though, only wanting 60 bux for all 4....HELLA DEAL!

60 bux!

i painted the inside of this with some spray paint, just so you cant see the inner of the rim, even though you barely can anyways.

You getting your tires mounted there? Hopefully they don't ruin the great job you did painting the wheels... Considering repainting mine silver since they have minor curb rash and the paint seems to have little cracks in it...

Overall an easy task?
