I know that on the First Generation new MINIs one could simply buy/find a chrome grill for the MC and swap it for the painted one on the MCS.

I don't care much for the black mesh on the R56 MCS. Has anyone swaped out the chrome grill from the MC version of the R56?

The grille mesh on the MCS is black plastic, not painted. So, it is rather lightweight.

Here is a thread with mods from Japan that shows some grille changes.

Here is a post by someone who did their own grille.
