I want to put a (maybe 2, not sure yet) 12V socket into my parcel shelf. However, I'm having a really hard time finding a place to buy them. I looked up the BMW part number, but it appears to just be the replacement part with no accomodation for wiring (maybe it's just the photo, if someone knows differently, let me know).

I know people have done this...where did you get your socket from?

I've used the Radio Shack ones... they're OK. A bit flimsey, so I'd only use them for things that you plan to plug in and leave in, not for something you mean to push in and out constantly.

If you're looking for a way to connect it to your fuse box, Google the term "Add-a-Circuit".
