Okay folks. I'm new to the forums, and my first question was painfully retarded. I'm gonna try again now, please - be gentle. I'm getting the M7 ultimate grille on tuesday (according to FedEx). I dunno if the driving lights will still mount up with that grille, and even if they do, I'm not sure I want them there. So, do I keep them and try to make them work? Do I move them (and if so, where to)? Should I replace them (and if so with what?) I've seen the Paulo and Alta light bars, and I like the placement of lighting there, but it all seems a bit gratuitous. What would be nice in my mind is maybe a way to tastefully move the driving lights to the lower bumper area? Missouri requires front license plates too which is another pain. Anyway, please give me ideas or guidance. Thanks!

 

Outmotoring makes great brackets - there's a set that mounts to the bonnet (very much like the OEM brackets - see the photo below) and he also has a very beefy set that can mount in the lower area. Both will work great and are faitly inexpensive.

As for lights, there are many options - check PIAA and Hella - each manufacturer makes several options that are far less than the OEM lights and are just as bright. I got my Hellas and brackets for about $120 total, far cheaper than OEM. I have an installation How-to linked from my sig.

 

Well I see the bonnet-mounted brackets on Outmotoring, but not anything for the bumper. Anybody else have those? Please keep any ideas coming.

 

C'mon guys no ideas? What about the light bars any preference b/t Palo and Alta? Any other mounting ideas? Any light preferences? now that i have the grille im thinkin more about this.
