Anybody with two pairs of seats?
Former Miata owner here considering MCS purchase. It is fairly common for Miata owners who do track events to have a pair of race seats that they swap for stock seats. It only takes about 10 minutes per seat to switch if you can mount them on the stock rails. I've done searches here and found a lot of people who have switched over to race seats, but I haven't seen anybody mention going back and forth. Does anybody do this? Anybody with a 5 or 6 point mount harness?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Don't think you will read much of people doing this. 2 problems all dealing with the Stock seats having Airbags.
1) Stock seats are Heavy. very freaken heavy.
2) Either you have to have the Tool that resets the Air bag light each time, or you keep it defeated which may mess you up at inspection time.

Don't know of anyone who does that, as stated by Mugami.
Because of the airbags, you'd need to disconnect the battery and insert a resistor in the connector as part of the swap.
That, and with the adjustment mechanism it would take more work to get the replacement seat in the right position as opposed to the Miata, which essentially sits on the floor.
Not to mention that it's SO easy to add a Schroth 4 point - clips in just a few seconds after you've installed the receivers, which only takes a few minutes.
