Okay I have a 2005 MC and I need to replace the rear bumper.

I found someone selling a 2004 MCS rear bumper, and i know that the rear plastic trim pieces will not fit from my 2005 MC rear bumper (the plastic trim, valence thing).

If i were to order the plastic trim pieces somewhere (dealer?) would a 2004 or earlier (MC trim pieces), fit on the MCS rear bumper?

 

Well, I know that a couple people have put MC rear bumpers on their MCSs (from pictures I've seen on NAM), so the whole bumper will swap. Also, iirc, one of them has the MC rear bumper (the early style, '02-'04) with the MCS lower pieces (the black along the bottom edge) to accomodate the center exhaust tips, so I'm thinking that you should be able to mix-n-match the pieces. I'm not sure how the differences in the '02-'04 and '05-'06 bumpers would affect things, though.

 

Yes, you can put the MCS bumper on your 05 bumper...

And yes, the 02-04 black plastic trim pieces from an MC will then fit on that MCS bumper. And I'm 99% sure that your exhaust will still line up with the cooper exhaust hole

 

I already done the swap on my '05 MC, you need to buy the 3 plastic trim pieces of a 02-04 MC and install them in the MCS bumper, they will fit perfectly and it looks great
