Maybe you are right. I think I might just stck with the CF bonnet scoop for now.

 

cf bonnet painted = sleeper mod

and yes... lens flare = fun!

I'd paint off the edges and leave a cf hood square or the essence for show.

 

I just had a great idea for this! Have one of them painted to body color so that it has bonnet stripes of clearcoat that show that it is made of Carbon Fiber. That would look awesome on a PS/DS!

Has anyone seen it when they paint the CF to so it still has the CF look but is colored like color of the rest of the car? it looks awesome like that, I've seen it on some show cars

 

I think what you are talking about is colored Carbon Fiber. There is blue, red, black, and grey. They use Kevlar to make the yellow I think.

CF is Black... but they can tint the resin... but a REAL application cannot be tinted

No, it's not tinted resin. They spray a pearlized coating with some body color in it. It's opaque enough to see thru, but still adds color base to match car.

I say paint it, and get the CF scoop painted too. just the stripes for those who want to look.

 

I am only a fan of carbon fiber fronts on some cars. (i.e. this sweet silver S4 I saw a couple weeks ago with a carbon fiber hood...beautiful!) I would need to see a pic of it installed to give you a real critique.

 

 

Ummmm Needs Paint. And a matching roof.... Or the whole body needs to be CF, It just doesn't please my eyes.... PAINT IT!! Or at least the fender area

How's the fit? Panel gaps, etc? How well does the stock hood mounting hardware work with the carbonfiber hood? Pretty damn sweet though. I'm envious.

Also, what sort of wheels are on the car in the picture?
