Interior/Exterior Floor mat options?
Floor mat options?
I got an 06 MCS yesturday but did not get the floor mats at the dealer. I was wondering what's the good choices availible and where is some good sources? I was thinking about the coco mats but I' m open to others. My interior is panther black w/ anthracite trim.

Speaking of mats...
Does anyone know why some mats (like the diamond plate ones) say "Cannot be used in the cabrio"? What's different about the cab vs the coup? Just looking at photos of various mats it's hard to see any difference...
The coco mats always look... dirty... speckled... to me in the photos. They must look better in person I guess.

I ordered custom mats...after I placed my order, custom mat, custom color combo, it still took about 6 weeks for delivery. Remember, they need to have your color in stock, then custom cut them to fit the mini, then assemble them with the backing and foot rest. Takes a while, but I found it worth it. I talked to them before I placed my order, so I knew it would take a long time for them to get here.
Rear seat mats are a difference size. Thats the only difference
DIRTY ?? Something in my car looks DIRTY ????!!!!!

I think NOT, my friend !!
Nah, it's just the speckled appearance of the weave. I love those mats and they look great in person, trust me.

That's some extensive custom interior work, 03Indigo- blue backing on the gauges and all- matching door coverings, steering wheel cover, upper dash , etc. Looks good, must have cost mucho dinero. Did you have it done, or do it yourself? Love the 10 ball shift ****.

You need to ask for a swatch to see how they really are. They have a deep rich 3 dimensional texture that photos flatten and make unflattering. They look great in person but I haven't seen any photo that brings out their quality. I seem to be the only one on NAM to have them in all-black, with a great herringbone weave pattern. Floor mats are generally neutral to unattractive at best but these genuinely look good and make an impression of high quality.
The Cocomats that I got for my cabrio are the same shape as the dealer-installed mats, but they're significantly thicker, and as a result, the seats have a hard time clearing them when you slide the seats all the way back. I got the driver's seat to go all the way back, but the part of the seat rail that's attached to the seat itself cuts into the vinyl edging on the mat. I can't get the passenger seat all the way back without jamming up on the mat, so I just prop the rear-passenger mat up vertically between the front seatback and the rear seat. I figure that if I ever have a passenger back there (hasn't happened yet in seven months), I can push the passenger seat forward and lay the mat flat then.
Regardless, I love the Cocomats. I haven't done anything but vacuum them, and both sides look just the same, even after 10,000 miles with usually just me in the car and no passenger.

Hey ML, I think a word doc is the way to go... I made mine in excel w/ costs and it got quite scary
! No need to see those totals since we know we're going to spend it anyway!
. Not for everyone, but for me, I like it a lot.
Ahhhhhhhhhh.... so THAT's why they say that for the convertibles! I didn't even think of checking that. Thanks, Twister!
Cocomats from Jeff www.cocomats.com are the best I have found. Jeff is great to work with also.
Black w/ red dots is hard to beat if the colors work with your car.

Got mine today - I LUV them! The blue is almost a perfect cool blue match!
The rears they included were the COUPE size - but Jeff is going to make this right, no worries.
