modding on R56

was wondering if any of the r56 mcs owners have changed the yellow signaler (in the headlights).. wanted to change that out so the whole headlight is clear.

also was wanting to blackout the side signlers (forget what they're called) but yeah didn't know how.

so yup :D

I am looking to do it. I will have my headlights apart sometime soon to joey mod them and may be looking to dremel the lens out for a new one. unless anyone wants to swap assemblies for one with an amber lens?

I've been paying attention to this too. Even though I've seen some white/clear front turn signal lenses at the dealership (Oklahoma), I can't tell if there is a pattern or not. The two I've seen are both non-S Coopers with standard headlights (not xenon) and the white tail light option. All the others on the lot have amber front and rear.

So I'm wondering, is this luck of the draw? If it relates to the white tail lights, does it apply to xenons as well? Cooper S?

Don't know about the headlamps, but there is a blackout kit for the side turn signal repeaters:

You'll notice that there's still the "fried egg" look to the lamp itself, but that can easily be changed by using a mirrored bulb...
