Anyone have experience with using plastic body fillers on the larger project scale? Which to use, support, finishing, wear/tear, etc.

 

I've built danged near whole cars out of mud (PBF); not proud of it, but it was what the customer wanted. What is your large scale project? Smoothing or filling?

 

Little of both. I've got a plastic bumper that has cracks and holes in it. I say larger scale because I've mostly come across little tubes to fix like a rock chip or something small.

 

Plastic bumper repair is an entirely different critter. There are bumper repair kits available, which use a 2-part urethane mixture as a filler. Unless you really know what you are doing, have a pro fix it, or get a new bumper. I've had quite a few homegrown bumper repairs come in for an estimate to smooth them out, and the first line item is "replace bumper cover". I ain't touchin' that **** with a 10 foot pole.

 

Thats sort of what I figured too... with the lack of info I could find on it.
