A small review. I had time to put some of the material on my hatch this weekend. I put about 2 sq ft on the panels where the factory sound deadener is. I noticed that the sheet metal (from knocking on the panel) is duller and sounded successfully deadened. I think I will put the remaining material on the plastic trim panel to try to deaden that a little also.

I wasn't brave enough to take the door panels off of my week old Mini Countryman, but the trunk trim, having no handles, electronics, or moving parts, was something I can handle.

The product is solid, even in the 50mil dose. Comparable to other sound deadening products which may be more expensive. The "kit" the 10sq ft (enough to mostly do two mini doors, or pretty much the whole hatch of a countryman) comes with includes a roller, some decals, instructions.

For those that haven't taken advantage of this offer, the product is worth it. Even with it being free, they shipped quickly and were helpful on the phone. Even the products selling price is very reasonable!

I'm interested. I could PM now or call later today (after work) if it's still an option.

Hi Tracie. Thank you for the GMAT. I haven't had a chance to install this in my MINI but you guys were really prompt with shopping it out to me. Once I have an opportunity to install this I will write up a review. :D

I hate the drone while on a freeway. What's a good place to put this stuff (if it does get rid of that droning)?

Other than what's on the Amazon link, I don't have any new info. I'm working with the team to get an updated info sheet and I'll be sure to let you know. What kind of questions do you have?

Anyone willing to make a review video and post to YouTube? We'd like to hear what your ride sounds like.

I'd actually be glad to. Right now I've only done a few strips on the rear hatch, and haven't gotten up the nerve to take the door panels off my month old Mini, but I will soon. I think I have enough material left to do one door panel and some additional on the hatch.

Once I finish up the hatch, I can do a YouTube video (my last review was an exhaust http://youtu.be/sCleEXE9vGw and I had fun doing it). I think it would be much more impressive once I get the doors done too, but I need to buy some more material first.

Perhaps I could set up a camera in my hatch (since it's something I can do now with the film I have) and film an iPhone SPL app before an after? Got any ideas of how I can represent a sound difference on film to display the sound deadening qualities of the product better?

Not really, to be honest. The only video that was created as a review claimed to have used a decibel reader app from Apple but never showed anything on camera. :-/

I think that's the best way to do i, but film the decibel reader. Give me a couple weeks to film, apply some material, and film again. I have my second kid on the way, so when my wife pops, it might be a while before you hear from me.
