I always thought the mcs exhaust had a bit sporty sound to it already. I didn't want anything much louder because i enjoy cruzing down the highway windows up and music blasting. I've had this on for a couple days and this cat back isn't much louder than stock. When just casually driving I don't notice the difference unless i really pay attention. It's only louder when accelerating and it sounds better because it's only the deeper tones that are louder. When cruising on the highway it doesn't drone even though these pipes are nice and thick. I'd get this just for the improvement in looks when you look underneath and see a nice shiny piece of thick steel instead of the ugly stock one which doesn't match with a mini. The power difference is noticeable right away because the slight delay when downshifting followed by stomping on the gas is gone, which is the first thing i did when an A4 pulled up next to me. I'd like the downpipe too but i think it might be too loud.

Glad that you are happy. That is exactly what I was trying to accomplish with the system. Give the car some soul but not have it be obnoxious and drive you nuts on the freeway. The DP kicks everything up a notch and it could be a bit too loud. If you are happy with what you have, may be best to stop here for now in terms of exhaust mods.

Thanks again!

Any suggestions for dealing with the CEL for O2 sensor after Alta DP and cat back exhaust install? P0420 not optimal readings on rear O2 sensor.

Whatever happened to your polished stainless steel turboback with dual tips? I don't have it anymore, but that was the best looking one!

I found it under the JCW section for R56's but not under the normal MCS. Weird.
