Show us your MINI / Mini!
Hey folks - I know lots of ya have little snaps of your MINI in your profile... would love to see pictures you've got!
Here's the Liquid Yellow MCS: "POLLN8"

Here's a shot of the "stable" at this point. On the left is the 1971 Mini, then the MCS, and on the right is the 1964 Cooper S.

I'll be bringin' the red car on Saturday to the Spring Fling & Meet 'n Greet.

Ooh! Ooh! Ooh! Where's that spot? I gotta snap some pictures there as well.
Still tryin to think of a good spot for us in the next month or so for a Mini club shot. Went with the Porsche guys out to Ko'olina (sp?) a while back - man that was pretty...but I think it would require some phonecalls, as all the Porsches were out on the lawn!

It looks like Sadie's Waikiki-Diamond Head shot was done in the parking lot makai of the Rainbow towers of the Hilton Hawaiian village. There is a small road between the Ilikai and Prince Hotel that will turn left then right and out to the parking lot which is public. She was parked in the handicap stall (legal for her- see the handicap #72 Hawaii plate?). Maybe I can get a shot of it someday- could do a flash pic with the sunrise in the background or maybe do a sunset for the warmer colors.
Andy-
Nice looking mini stable. Both the 71 red mini and new yellow MCS look sharp. Great contrast. You need more drivers. You have three so you have your own "Mini Pod" for Italian Job style motoring- i.e. driving in sets of three- really close together of course or it wouldn't be true "podding".

Minihune was right--it's the old Magnum-era helipad, now parking for surfers, between the Ala Wai Yacht Harbor and the Hilton Lagoon. That parking lot is always jammed, and it took about 5 visits to get the shot, but I was determined to have a pic of Sadie with Diamond Head and after driving to dozens of places, discovered it was the only spot.

I'm not in Hawaii yet but my family and I (and this MCS) will be moving there around the end of July or early August. If you see us around, give us a wave!
Got new wheels and tires and thought I'd post. Now I need that Eibach Prokit to fill-in some space.
See you around soon.

Hi Andy, Saw you(r Mini) on TV news for the British car show. They could have called it the Andy Kauffman Show! Great advert. The tint on your yellow S looks pretty dark, or is it just the pic? Sure looks good! Any info on the next Hawaii Raceway Park outing? You going?

DakineMINI-
Very nice pure silver/Black with SSR GT1 wheels. Looks great. The spring height is not bad with your wheels- could keep them for the softer ride and just add the swaybar on firm or middle setting and add the tower brace if you like.
Nice house too! See I notice everything. What? No hottie in the driveway? Where is your daughter?

minihune,
Thanks.
I don't mind the gap either but since you guys got me worried about the availability of parts (plus the horrible shipping costs) in HI, I am trying to get everything done before the car gets shipped. Don't need it but may change to slotted disks just to take advantage of my friends lift and work on the car. Probably do springs myself too (if I did do swaybar, I'd do it then too). Not sure if I need swaybar like all of the folks on MCO love though.
My little hottie was at school when photo was taken. Funny thing is she immediately noticed different wheels when I picked her up.
You can't see the house in those shots.
You should see our awesome view from back of house (we live on top of a canyon). Hate to leave it but hopefully we'll find another place there with an awesome view.
Thanks.

Well, I didn't actually see "Your" home but I did see some of your neighbors homes or parts of them and it did look good. I saw your driveway- assuming that you didn't just park on some random driveway and snapped some pictures.

Although on the surface this property seems nice-
It's just one of many ocean view or beachfront places that go on sale.
This one is not that cheap for $5 million but sometimes bargains can be had for 2 to 3 million.
Many have really really nice views or private beaches with limited access. Unfortunately most of us don't own these places and most of the good ones were snapped up by investors from outside of Hawaii.
Oh well. Don't you think a couple of MINIs would fit nicely into that three car garage????
Next to the porsche and jaguar?

minihune,
Well it's about $4 million more than our target house price! About 5000 sq. ft. more than we need too. BUT, if I won the LOTTO I wouldn't complain and park the MINI sideways in the garage!
