If any of you locals ordered your mini I was curious how long it usually takes for it to be delivered after production? I just got updated with my VIN today and called. They said it was scheduled for completion today but I have no clue how long it is for shipment.

My wife is in MD. right now, she comes back here for the whole month of december then its on to Korea for a year. I would like to give it to her in December.

took mine 10 weeks exactly.. longest part was the transit over from england to ca and then ca to hi...

i took a test drive today and somehow managed to leave without taking one home. when i talked to mary, she said very few buyers order their car since most find one already on the lot that makes them happy.

those of you who have done the custom order thing--how long from the day you put in your order til you got the key in your happy, excited hands? is it still about a ten week wait?

 

The bulk of MINI sales comes from ordering (nationwide) but with the wait being a little longer due to Hawaii and due to more MINIs being in stock than in past years it is possible that some buyers are finding a good selection of MINIs they might settle for in stock.

10 to 12 weeks seems about right depending on demand and time of year.

You should get what you want and order if you can wait. You can also ask the sales manager for how long it might take in his opinion.

Another way to do it is to look at those owners taking delivery this week and count back the weeks to see when they first placed their order.
