I got an owie...

Got backed into by a HUGE pick-up at the mililani mauka McDonalds today... I have three dents on the passenger side door... two should pull out, but the biggest is creased... Just waiting on the insurance guy, now, but the guy who hit me was a butt. He asked the cop if he could "appeal this" as in go to court and "appeal" it, he kept saying! The cop told him he could do whatever he liked, but just to let the insurance handle it...he kept talking as if he didn't do anything wrong, since he didn't see me...

Some people act like such idiots after a wreck.

Sorry to hear this happened to you. It really hurts having a banged up MINI. I had a guy accidently (pretty sure about this) slam his door into my MINI once. It required some repainting. Cost $225 here.

Best of luck on the repairs. It is a hassle, for sure, but at least it appears that mechanicals are not involved. At a good shop, cosmetic stuff can come out good as, or even better than, new. I should know.....

Thanks...it should work out alright, I guess. I have a scratch I need to have fixed. That was a gift from my son and his bike and it's on the same door, so I can get it all fixed.

sorry to hear about that...i get pretty paranoid about parking lots; first getting dinged by doors cause of those narrow parking slots, then getting bumped from the car across you that's reversing out.

at least, his insurance will cover it, hopefully. unless goofball plans to pay $$$ so his insurance rate won't go up.

just be careful, as my co-worker went thru one of these incidences. when it came down to it, the other guy changed his initial story to try to avoid paying for the damages. became a big headache. everything worked out in the end for my co-worker, but he had to stress for a while. at least you got the cop to verify what happened.

You can always take it to Central as they have quite a bit of experience dealing with MINIs.

The guy that's handling my claim gave me their number, and sent my paperwork to them, so I'm just waiting on a call.

Bellybean329,

Sorry to hear about this.
Hope you have a better day Sunday.

Nice "gift" from your son's bike- bet he's forgotten about that long ago

Hope your repairs happen quickly and all is good for motoring again.

Personally, I stay away from Micky Ds (after watching the show "SuperSize Me").

Thanks, minihune! my Sunday was much better. You know, I never go there, but we had a million errands and everyone was hungry...besides, I wanted to try that fruit salad. I saw that movie too, so fast food makes me sick to my stomach That's what I get for trying to cram a million things into about two hours.

I told my son he is not to even breathe incorrectly by my car

Well, she's all dropped off at Central, so I'm MINIless until at the very least, Friday. Probably longer, which is my luck.
