MCS auto

--Did anyone pick up an MCS auto yet in Hawaii? Please tell us about it. Gas mileage, power, problems. Please tell.

I got to test drive the first black one they got in. Beautiful and all decked out. I'm putting in my order soon. Waiting for the JCW certification and a little more input from auto owners, but I'm basically sold. For people who haven't ridden in it yet, you'd be really surprised. She shifts like a motorcycle. Nice smooth and fast. Not lightning fast, but not any slower than a human hand can shift either. It's a really nice transmission. It has 3 different modes too. Regular, sport, and manual shift. I tried all three, but regular mode is plenty fun. They say that the sport mode let's you rev it all the way to redline before it shifts, but that's a lotta revs. I'd rather just drive and enjoy my corners.

This was my first test drive in a Mini ever and I've gotta say that car is awesome. It's the first car that could make me just laugh hysterically when I'm accelerating. I mean it's fun to punch it in my brother's 5.0 mustang too but that scares me more than it makes me laugh. Especially when she fishtails and wiggles all over the place. But in the mini it feels like you're on the front of a roller coaster, and someone just lit the jato bottles in the back. Images of my nephews in the side seat going, "WEEEEEEE!!" come to mind.

Awesome car. Hope to join one of your meets or drives within a few months.

I also did the MCS auto test drive and it was excellent.
Very smooth transmission shifts.
Better than the CVT on first impression.

Should be a good seller.
Too bad no LSD
Hopefully there will be a JCW kit soon.
