What to wear and where to drive....
Well as my MINI should be here soon I'm starting to look forward to my first drive
Starting near Pearl Ridge Mall and heading west on H-1 to 750 and start north.
At Schofield Barracks switch over to 99 then 830 and head on up to Waialua.
From there hop on 83 and follow the coast clear around North Shore to Kahaluu.
At Kahaluu move on over to 836 and at Kaneohe jump on 65.
Stay on 65 until it turns into 61 and take a left onto 72.
Follow the coast again on 72 until it turns into H-1 and stay on there until 78 heading west again.
Once 78 ends get off in Aiea and head back home.
Think thats about the most I can cover in a single drive without backtracking.
Can anyone think of any important stops along they way I should hit or any other detours I should take just to hit more of the Island?
Also thinking about it my Ford Ranger is all Black so pretty much any clothing matchs with it. Changing over to a Black Eye Purple (purple haze) MINI with W/W/W and grey and anthracite interior I am thinking that greens and browns won't work well with it.
So I need to find colors that will compliment the BEP/W of my MINI.
Hmmm.... need a good music selection also.
Argghh so many things to plan for the first ride and thats not even talking about the car wash and detailing before I leave.

Wow, that's alot of stuff to plan for.
Don't worry. Wear neutral colors and comfortable clothes. Bring sunscreen and stuff to drink when it gets hot. Dark glasses are helpful to cut glare. I usually bring a towel to clean up the windshield at stops.
If you make it to sunday's MINI meeting and bring a map then we can discuss some really good curvy roads not to be missed or we can find a good date to drive together so you can have some playmates.
Since you will be in break in period you should abide by the break in rules and just drive normal and easy until about 1200 miles. We will get to drive again soon enough and then you can exercise your MINI properly.

Not to worry about matching colors to your car. I, too, have a purple car and I just wear anything that's comfortable.
As for good roads to drive, BMWCCH is having a drive on Sunday. Unfortunately, it conflicts with the MINI at Moana as it is a really great drive. We've been doing this drive stuff for years and have some really great roads that are relatively untravelled. On the Windward side, the Norfolk area near Olomana Golf Course has some great twisties as does the Maunawili area. Just ask Minihune about our drives as he's been on one along with a bunch of other MINIacs.
