I had a really good time with my better half --> Jessica  , MINIangelD, Kohu'ulaMINI with his awesome family, and Devil Boy (Chevrolet S-10) with his better half --> Maggie. It was also really good to see baronious and mini-t (our table was full when they arrived).

All drivers walked away with a prize(s). MINIangelD and Kohu'ulaMINI had to leave a tad early but no worries ...their prizes are with me (will give at autocross). They're:

*MINIangelD: a miniature radio

*Kohu'ulaMINI: a maroon cap

==> Bad  news to relay here:

*****GRAND PRIZE: Geez Cube and Palm Pilot*****

[Presence required.]

Winner: MINIangelD

...due to her early departure, it went to another driver...

Maybe next year, MINIangelD

Ugh!
Could we do that one over please.
Oh well.
I had to stay home and nurse my aching back. Trying to reduce medication and doing regular accupuncture with electrical stimulation every other day. Not sure if it is really working as fast as I would like but at least I take only tylenol (tons of it and only $6 for 1000 at costco). My Vioxx was $1000 for a few months. Ridiculous. :???:

baronious & i were feeling sad that MINIangelD had already left. what a cool prize it would've been. but never fear, a superb driver, who works his butt off at every event, did end up winning it! congrats to Panos!

(baronious and i rushed back after a little emergency. we rec'd some cool things from Toyota and Nissan. i was crossing my fingers that i wouldn't get another MINI shirt. kidding. )

I am glad Panos got the G-cube. It looked interesting but I didn't want to win it. I like autocross, but not that much! Working with a computer measuring G-forces sounds like way too much work! I didn't even know what a G-cube was, before the banquet, I thought it was a video game. I would much rather have won some autocross training with a human computer measuring the G-forces.

I was, in fact, so UNinterested in the G-cube, I left during the G-cube presentation/explanation to make a trip to the ladies room, and hunt down a mug of hot chocolate, because that banquet room got cold after sitting there for a couple of hours. Three other folks ended up getting hot chocolates when they saw mine. D&B do excellent hot chocolates!

And I can't let Kohu'ulaMINI take the blame for us leaving early. I was getting tired and was already bored. The banquet was a good event, especially for a first annual one (and the food was awesome!) but it just ran way too long. I was even thinking last night, afterwards, I'm not sure I'd go if I had to do it again, because it was just so long ... shoulda been over by nine at the latest. I didn't think I was eligible to win a prize anyway, since I am not an SCCA member.

And I just knew that Kohu'ulaMINI would make some sort of comment about my driving!!! I already had a lead foot before Spring Fling, and now afterwards, I can't believe how slow everyone else drives.

Congratulations to Baronious for his excellent showing as an SCCA driver!!! Even if he does drive a family car.

And mini-t, I am really looking forward to Saturday! Lucy really is gonna fly with some racing shoes on!!
