I think we are invited to the All British Car Day at Kapiolani Park this sunday
5/16/04 from 9am to 3pm in the parking lot beyond the Shell near the corner of Paki and the Zoo.

I was there with the MINI of Hawaii staff last year and we had about 7 MINIs turn out. The british cars were great, new to vintage and many classics of all shapes and sizes. Alot of passersby came to spy our MINIs. There is a grassy area to picnic on as well that used to be the golf driving range.

There was an entry fee last year but I'm not sure if that gets waved for us or if we pay. MINI of HI will be there with a small tent most likely. There were giveaway drawings for those who participated donated by the event organizers and sponsors. Even some MINI stuff!!

I plan to go, hope to see you there. Should be a nice day.
Last year we had two classic minis!

Well it's been rainy the last few days and I'm not sure if it will dry up for tomorrow at Kapiolani park.
Usually it is dry there.

Latka is busy and isn't coming but I know the dealership will be there with a MINI or two.
I think I will still go but my MINI is being held hostage at the dealership waiting for a part to be installed.

Mary was there and about 10 to 14 MINI people came by on and off from the mid morning.
By the time I arrived after 2pm there was nothing left.

Wow. It's a good thing I didn't venture out there as I didn't finished working on cars until 2:30 this afternoon. Did a complete brake job including brake flush and bleed with Superblue. That was pretty fast as it took less than an hour to do all that work. Then did a brake flush on a couple other cars and a diff fluidchange. Looks like those cars are ready for autox and track day!
