Honolulu Auto Show
Things that didn't impress me at the show:
Scion xA - Toyota's failure to try to replicate a MINI. Check out the rear half...almost plagiarism.
Subaru - Mr Suburu salesman, this isn't a dealership. Let me just look at the STi without you giving me all the yada yada sales pitches and cliches.
Things that did impress me:
GMC Envoy - Nice interior styling for an American SUV.
Scion xB - So boxy...that I like it. And that stock lowered look is sweeet.
Audi TT - I STILL like it, especially the interior styling.
Audi S4 - yes.
Mustang GT - YES! Check out the size of the rear discs...they look like the size of rims. Nice recessing of the rear tailpipes. Interior styling....YES!
JCW wheels - now those are some awesome five spoke rims ...and they look easier to clean than the R83s. Also, they were smart not to put on any of the JCW badging on that Works MINI.
Everything else were just cars, trucks, suvs...ho-hum.
Also, if you go to the show, McDonalds were giving out $2 discount coupons to the show and First Hawaiian was giving out $1 discounts. Otherwise, it's $7 at the door.

What about parking this year? I didn't see anything about the Ala Moana Center parking, so is the only parking at the Convention Center?
I like that Mustang and would be interested in getting one. Either that or maybe a 2005 ZO6. I love those muscle cars.

Why pay at the CC when you can park at Ala Mo Shop'g Ctr for free. Best thing to do is park anywhere between Macy's and the Ala Mo Hotel bridge, walk over the bridge into the hotel and cross the street. Best time to go is during the non-peak shopping times of the shopping center. I went yesterday around 6pm and found a primo spot, last stall closest to the bridge with a hotel security cam keeping watch of the MINI.
And there was very few people at the show, so plenty of time to sit in any vehicle you wanted. (One year I went to the show on a Sat afternoon, it was toooo crowded.)

Yeah, that Mustang GT should be best of show. Some really unique styling that set it a part from the masses there.

Well the car show is over today.
Did anyone else see anything they really liked?
Too bad there were no Monte Carlo 40th Anniversary MCS at the dealership.
I here there may be more than a few arriving in a couple of months.
