by the way, sorry off-topic, but I went to the Dole Plantation's World's Largest Maze yesterday.....that was sooooo fun! My son and I completed the maze in 55 minutes....the fastest time was 5 minutes (but i think they cheated!!!!) We ate pineapple while we were there! Yummy!

Keikilee,
Why don't you drive the Dole Maze in your MC? If you get lost you can make your own way out!
well, only if I get to hold kbseto's hand!!!!!!! nah, just kidding, kyle!
The maze is way harder than I thought....very fun, though, even if we got rained on! Yikes! We should do a fun drive up there (no fancy driving, just normal everyday driving) do the maze and end with shaved ice in haleiwa or pie at sunnyside or something. That would be fun!

beast, your convertible will do fine....
the point of the maze is not to get out, but to find 6 boxes with stencils in it....you need to draw the stencil on your card to prove that you found them all. Even though I found the boxes, there's no way in heck I'll be able to find them easily again. Every single turn and bush looks the same!

Speaking of aerial shots, check this out :
Your house from space
You can sign-up for a trial run. Amazing and kind of neat. I think the free trial is kind of blurry but imagine what the spy planes are seeing - yikes!

I'm immune to mosquitos....i think it's my korean blood (yeah, beat you to it beastmaster
) But there were a lot of gnat-type bugs flying around. Not, too bad. I think the wind and rain scared the mosquitos away....either that or they were off making babies in the puddles.
off-topic (again) but I pity anyone who subscribes to the Hawaii forum section. I think we must have made about 75 posts today! I'm partly to blame...I've been on vacation all week because my son's on spring break, so I'm in desperate need to connect with adults and being a post ***** helps allerviate the pressure!!!!! Thank goodness I go back to work tomorrow! Yay!

>>Good idea! But I don't have a MINI.
You don't need a MINI to do the Maze run with us.
We'll give you MINI slippers or a MINI hat and you can go as an official from BMW CCA.
>>Minihune - make a bigger shot of it and take it with you. See if you can navigate via aerial photo.
Already did. Trying to memorize it.
Keikilee,
If the maze gets too easy for you then we will allow you to do it while walking backwards.
Or you can do the whole maze backwards- that ought to disorient anyone in their right mind.
Here is a view from the ground level-

Ok, being the token native hawaiian here......I figured I'd reply. unfortunately I didn't know the answer (I know who Prince Kuhio is...just didn't know the significance) so I looked it up...here's what I found:
March 26th is the day Hawaii celebrates Prince Jonah Kuhio Kalanianaole Day. It is celebrated to honor the birthday of Hawaii's second delegate to Congress. Prince Kuhio was born in Koloa, Kauai, in 1871. He was the youngest of three sons of Kauai High Chief David Kahalepouli Piikoi and Princess Kinoiki Kekaulike. He served as the Territory of Hawaii's delegate to the U.S. Congress from 1903 to 1921. With John Wise, John Lane and Noah Alulii, they formed the first Hawaiian civic club in 1917 to stimulate civic efforts and education within the Hawaiian community and promote Hawaiian culture.
Kuhio was known as the "Citizen Prince" and was in line to become king before the monarchy was overthrown in 1893. He died of heart disease on January 7, 1922, at the age of 50 and was buried at the royal mausoleum in Nuuanu Valley on Oahu. Kuhio is best remembered for his successful effort to get Congress to pass the 1920 Hawaiian Homes Commission Act, which provides homesteads for native Hawaiians. It was his dream to save the rapidly declining Hawaiian race from extinction. His plan was to return tenement dwellers to the land and encourage them to be self-sufficient farmers, ranchers and homesteaders on leased parcels of reserved land.
