austin mini wanted
Austin and Morris both produced Minis in the early years (badge differences and small exterior trim changes.)
I would suggest keepin an eye on Craigslist - here in Hawaii and the west coast. Have a budget in mind before you shop, and ask questions. I would suggest also checking out MiniMania.com - almost 100% classic Mini.
If you want you can PM me. I'm no expert, but I've owned several (currently have a 66 Austin Cooper S) and can help answer questions.
A Classic mini has a very choppy & rough ride compared to a "modern" car. Because of that limited suspension movement though they generally have really good handling - a ton of fun to drive.

thanks
I appreciate the reply, it does not need to run. I went to look at this one and it is not bad. I tried to buy it from him without it running but he wouldnt sell it to me like it was. He said he wanted to get it going because he didnt want to sell something that didnt work.
Thanks, Brian
Thanks, Brian

Aloha all!!
I am in a bit of a bind... I have a 1968 Morris Mini Minor (debatable) that I need to sell pronto. Currently it is a project car, but here are details. Brake lines are about the only remaining item needed to get the car on the road. I'm moving off of Oahu in 3 weeks, and need to find a new home for the car. Details below. Offers are acceptable :0) I am at 571-594-4439 ~ Janelle
- 1968 Morris Mini Minor (I have doubts about the legitimacy of it being a MMM)
- VIN # MA2S4S481332M
- Manufacturer is Leyland (Ignition key has their insignia too)
- Engine is a 1275 cc engine A-series (engine block WFM 1024). The engine came out of a 1983 MG Metro. Needs a new head gasket which I have.
* This vehicle use to be a racer, so it was modified to race, with a roll cage and then later converted to a regular driver with the roll cage removed. The cylinder head was machined to accept unleaded fuel (it was originally diesel).
- Transmission: A/BZ6 DAM, BC@M5626
- The frame/body is a MK III
- MK I grill
- MK IV tail lights (because it has a reverse light feature)
- MK IV indicator lever on steering column).
- HIF44Carburetor
- It has a mechanical fuel pump.
- It currently has front disc brakes (I think 7.5" disc along with 4-pot calipers), rear drum brakes.
- Wheels are 5" x 12" minilite's rims w/ Falcon-G (FK-06G) 165/60R12 tires (maybe 60 miles at most on them)
- There air horns in the boot and in the bonnet
New parts purchased for the vehicle, but not yet added are:
- a new front subframe assembly with complete new suspension (new discs brakes and calipers)
- all new suspension for the rear (new drums, new back plates, new radius arms, and shocks). I will put these back on the car along with the rear wheels so that the car can be moved.
- all new floor pans and side valance panels (the floor board is rusted through)
- new panels for the boot (two side corners and the battery compartment box)
* All of the brakes lines need replacing, all the lines are rusted and coroded.
* All parts were purchased through either www.minimania.com, or www.minisport.com.
My loss can be your gain!!
