SCCA Pro Solo II (Autocross) for September
>>-the car IS underpowered for the uphill design. it needs about 20-30 more solid HP to be a dominator.
>>-the weight only seems to affect acceleration and not so much handling.
>>
>>conclusion:
>>-i was very, very impressed with the MCS and its results.
>>-it was hilarious when the 2nd place guy in the same class was crying about how a MCS should have been in a higher class.
>>-good car with potential, a pulley would solve the power problem BUT would also put it in a modified (SM) car class which actually wouldn't be too bad. it would've beat the 2nd place M3 that had race tires. and that is before the pulley power difference.
>>
>>just my review. come out everyone.
>>b
Nobody would know about your pulley upgrade and I won't tell!

haha. true, but i would know along with others so i would move to a mod class. i also just noticed something. the 2nd run on the sti 64.xxx was the run that was supposed to be replaced with my re-run where i got a 51.xxx. maybe they should have them give me a 51.999 at a bare mini'mum in an effort to correct things.
the timing system is messed up when there are re runs as there are only 4 spaces for the time recording. they need to make the sheet with 6 spaces 4 regular runs and 2 spaces for re-runs if needed. cones have been placed on perfectly clean runs before.(see my last month....bad karma) it is also a hectic place to help/work. so i understand since i worked there a few times before.
bgrpph and himini, where were ya'll. next month will hopefully be downhill!!!! as they usually switch directions. also the wind will now be at your back. this is where the cooper non-s will rule as its class is good.

I think we should all get some flowers for the MINIs that run.
This EB MCS has 5 spoke wheels shod with Kumho Ecsta race tires (they looked kinda melted afterward)

I am very happy that you folks had fun out there. The '71 will make it to the October event. This will give me the push I need to get those disc brakes on the front
