Hawaii bound
Hi guys! or should i say aloha! We have an opportunity to go to Hawaii for a great price during the end of aug or sept. Is it a good time to visit??? Never been, and am really looking forward to seeing your portion of the world!Any info is good.
Thanks!
It gets hot in late August and September so be sure to use sunblock and wear a hat! The beaches are great and sunny, the weather warm and the skies are blue! What more can you ask for?
As for Jack Lord's place, he lived in the Kahala Beach Towers adjacent to the Kahala Mandarin.

Aloha! It's fine to visit Hawaii at any time in my book. Each month has something a bit different to offer. End of Aug tends to be warmer but not super hot unless we loose our tradewinds. Sept might cool off a bit. Nights are warm like 76-77 and highs about 89-90 with partly cloudy to partly sunny forecast for the next week. I think the weather will hold up and not be quite as hot.
The beaches are generally good, Sept is good because most of the summer travel people are finished. Overall tourism is down a bit and still trying to recover. There are moderate numbers of tourists in Waikiki.
Hope you can make it. We have only one dealership- some good mini clothes found only in Hawaii!!!

my classmate and his wife from wyoming is supposed to come down in sept time. and they haven't ever been here either. not even sure if they ever saw the pacific ocean, let alone an ocean.
any time is really good. and yeah, deals may abound now that summer vacation is over. only thing is this is hurricane season, but do not really worry about that too much. if one hits, you'll have stories to tell back home.
i saw on the news tonight that some envionmental report is going around that rips on our beach waters being much dirtier than previously thought due to lack of testing. this is absolute rubbish. i personally surf in these waters 2-4x/week, and i have never ever gotten sick due to pollutants in the water. in fact, when you come here, i'm positive that you'll think that these are some of the most bluest blue waters you've ever seen. and this doesn't even include the beaches/water at the outer islands, which can be even more indigo blue than those on oahu.
so...all in all, come on over. enjoy and respect our natural beauty (don't think waikiki is a good representation of hawaii). visit the neighbor islands - each has it's own sights and charms. but be sure to stop by on oahu.

  I will only have a short trip, 4 days, but I am still looking forward to the scenic beauty of Hawaii. I have a friend who lives in hippie hollow on the north shore. It's exciting because I've never been off continent before!  I'll definitely stop at the MINI dealer and check in! Aloha!
