Well I already found it on my own this past wednesday and tried out the gas pump. The sign says $2.10 a gallon while the 92 octane premium pump says $2.00 a gallon. Not sure what that was all about. Maybe the staff is a bit dyslexic
see http://www.dyslexic.com/software.htm

Anyway I work on the 19th so if you have it 10-11am I am screwed. Shucks. I would have been first one there. Some people have to work!-Oh well. I have too much stuff already anyway. What would I do with an extra 2003 MINI Cooper? I probably would put on all those parts from my MCS that keep falling off and cluttering up my garage.
Hmm. That is a good idea. Now I change my mind. I'll be there but I won't be early. Maybe 12:15. Can one drive from MINIlani to the Island MINI mart on Dillingham in less than 15 minutes? It's downhill, I can use gravity to help me.
I'll time myself.

Nope, no camping out allowed plus the Island Mini mart is probably open all hours and it would be too lit up and noisy to pitch a tent and sleep over. Just line up your MINI a few blocks away and at 9:59 and 30 seconds rev your engine and take a flying start down Dillingham and do a doughnut right into the event parking lot. Be sure to screech to a stop (turn off DSC before you go). Throw yourself out of the car and demand a raffle ticket so that you can get a spare MC to park next to the one you already have.

For the Tshirts with the number, I was #409 in Hawaii so I'm gonna just print my own shirt with whatever numbers I want. Too bad.

Since I missed the "fire drill", will definitely try to make the "real deal"

Did you say a CHANCE to win a MINI, or are you actually GIVING a MINI?

HMMMM, now you've perked my interest

Hmmm, I have 3% of the MINI shirts, #s 54, 89 and 154!

As for camping out at the MINI mart, not a good idea, especially in Kalihi.

Yes, Aloha Island Mini Mart- Not just any mart but an Island (as in Oahu) Mini (as in MINI) Mart!
It sorta looks similar to this:

Had 3, down to 2. Maybe 1.

As for the non-event, we had a gathering at the Island Mini Mart at the corner of Kalihi and Dillingham for their grand opening. This was back in May if I remember correctly. Much to our surprise, the place was covered with weeds, the pumps were non-functioning and the storefront was empty. The big mix up was that the Island Mini Mart guys gave Darrel a proposal for the grand opening and never really heard much after that. We thought everything was a go and we were all there! Darrel then moved the get together to MoH and bought the gang pizzas!

As for the giveaway, it is for a real MINI. There is an insurance policy taken out on these promotions and a real MINI will be provided to the winner. This is similar to those jewelry promos where you will get your purchase for free if the temp reaches 95 degrees anytime this month. So you could win a new MINI. Maybe I'll win a new MINI and I can sell the MCS and get another Beast!

Were talking real MINI, like full-scaled automobile and not a toy?

Yes, a real 1:1 scale MINI with a MSRP starting at $16875, or whatever it is. I have no idea what options are on the giveaway car.

You have 3 out of 300 so that makes ? Hmm. 3%??? Wouldn't that be 9 of 300?

I have friends in Kalihi. Might not be enough though.

Yes the MINI mart is all fixed up pretty.

What time does this event start? It just says live radio from 10am to 11am.
More info is needed. A picture of the raffle MINI would help spark more interest.
Show us the "money"!!!!

0.5%? That would be a shirt for you (OK) and one shirt torn up in half so that your daughters can each have a bit
of MINI comfort (makes a good soft MINI smelling blanky?)
Maybe you can be one of the first 15 MINI owners at the grand opening and enjoy a "new" MINI shirt.
But wait, still no number. So we can help you customize the shirt. Just start to think what you might like done.
Gotta screw on my thinking cap a little tighter
Ouch, too tight. I crushed my ears

Geez guys keep the shirts on your backs!
There should be enough MINI shirts to go around.

As for the MINI giveaway, it is a real MINI and I see you are paying attention on the wording. It is your CHANCE to win a MINI.

The promotion is run by KSSK radio and they will have their jackpot machine present. PULL to WIN! Las Vegas style!
As we all know, MINI ownwers are the luckiest people. But just in case, don't forget to bring your lucky frog, 4 leaf clover, rabbits foot. (Please leave your unlucky 3 footed rabbit at home)

As for the designated MINI any suggestions? CVT, "S"???
I'll propose the model, since we have'nt settled on the model yet.

Aloha,
MINIkahuna

To qualify for the first 15 Minis with owners to get shirts- what time should we be there from? 10am? Or maybe earlier? If it is 8am I can be there but much after
I will have to wait until after 12.

3 footed rabbits? Hmm. I think I have seen a few of those wobbling around somewhere.

Lucky? Anyone that owns a Mini is lucky. What more luck do we need?

As for the prize. I vote three times (in honor of the three footed afore mentioned hairy creature) for a Cooper CVT. The reason being, anyone young or old big or small brave or crazy can drive a CVT (provided suitable prior training in the art of Motorin and required licensure).

Ta Ta and always be sure to - brake for three legged animals whether hopping swimming jumping skipping or flying in front of your Mini.

What would I do with a 2nd MINI??? Hmmmmm

Park Sadie in the living room where I wish she was anyway and drive the new one (PW/PW, please, minikahuna!)

Get a van and ramps and put the two MINIs in it--but there should be three.

Go to Kapiolani Park on Sundays and find someone to play really, really, big non-remote-controlled cars with.

Just sigh happily.
