[Hawaii] "Komen Race for Cure" Team HMMC
Good points and we'll go with your suggestion but let's tighten the window because with that many folks I can just imagine that the buses are going to be full. Let's meet between 5:45 am and 6:15 am. Park where you can but meet near the DHT side of KCC parking lot. Then we go in together.
Lets have a rollcall.
Who will be there Sunday????
I'll try to be there (KCC parking lot, in front of DHT) by 5:45 but will shoot for 5:30 (don't want to hassle with the potential crowd).
Looks like it will only be Kay and myself (Jenna will stay at Grandma's - she's sick).

message from Allen
I got this email (do others want to join us in our walk?)
"To be able to make it to the zoo on time I was thinking that we all should meet at 0530am on Sunday. There was some discussion of where to meet and the group that has been on the forum decided to meet at the Diamond Head Theatre. If you do not know the way here are the directions:yep, DHT is on the waikiki side of the kcc parking lot, down the hill from Leahi hospital. in fact during theatre performances the patrons park at KCC waikiki side. forgot that one cross street, but the other cross street is alohea ave, which connects straight up to 6th ave from the freeway.
So for those coming from town/ewa side, just take the 6th ave exit, turn right and follow it straight thru all the intersections and big left curve that it takes. Eventually it'll change to Alohea ave. Keep following it and you'll hit kcc parking lot at the intersection. DHT is on the left side of that intersection."

Hope to see you there. Maybe have an umbrella handy and a towel in your MINI.

Just hours from the start...
Many many thanks to all those who have supported our
Hawaii MINI Motoring Club team members
We were able to raise at least $605. Excellent!
Good for third place team overall!
Great job team!

Well the day finally arrived and Team HMMC represented well. Thanks to captains Annessa and Allen for putting this together. Special thanks to Darrel for showing up early to show his support and to ensure that we received our MINI Motoring Hearts awards!
The group arrived in the dark at the designated area (great directions kbseto!).

Groove67 had his own Jamaican warm-up routine (don't ask but whatever it was, it made his heart light-up).

Group shot before boarding the bus. Thanks for taking the photo Darrel!

The fast team members took off while the slower folks had a nice walk.

cwlouis coming in for his finish.

The group gathered for an after race shot.

Another great HMMC outing.
Thanks to all that participated and supported our team. Hope to see you at the next HMMC outing.
[Edit : I forgot to thank the folks that contributed to our fund raising efforts. Because I don't have everyone's name (we, at least me, weren't privy to that information) I won't thank you individually, but please know that your contributions helped Team HMMC get third place in the TEAM fund raising rankings. I know many of you wanted to attend the event and couldn't; hopefully, we can do this next year and our presence will be bigger!]
