Yo Eastside!-

Howzit bro! I saw your post about you frequenting Barnes at Kahala. I've seen a couple of MINIs on previous visits. Chili Red I think MCS, a yellow MC, and a gold one. Anyone yours?

If you see an '04 Indie Blue MCS Works in the lot that's me! I'll be at my post haunting the auto mag section!

BTW, you should mention to your brother to bring in:I'm sure they would sell if we get the word out to HMMC folks.

Aloha!

John

 Thanks, I feel welcome. I am currently seeking to become a local rep. for serveral well known after market mini supplier thru-out the state. My goal is to supply the hawaiian chain with the most up to date products and most importantly saving money. Your feed back to this will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

You know, with more than 800 MINI's and 30+ Works vehicles in State there could be a pretty good market.

Getting pretty boring walking through tuner stores and seeing all the COOL ricer gear and nuttin' for us MINI folks !

I'd be a good customer!

Aloha!

hmmm....well, even though we have over 800 MINIs, the club only got 55 owners...and those are the ones that are most likely to buy aftermarket parts. The other 750 owners on the island seem to think of their MINI as a mode of transportation and probably wouldn't be interested in exhaust, CAI, bonnet stripes or any other thing that we think is cool. And so far, club group-buys have generated little to no interest by our members. So I'm kind of confused about the demand elasticity (did i use that term correctly) of the MINI parts market in Hawaii...but its definitely worth taking a look into.

I'm excited about the possibility of it...but I think what would make it really work is if there was also a mechanic on staff to do out-of-warranty servicing and upgrades/mods.

Just my $0.02

Keikilee,

Thanks for your input. My intention is to become a distributor and work with a reputable performance shop to do the installations. Because having overhead is not a good idea to start off. I am still scratching the surface at all this.... until it all make sense! Still scratching.......

Aloha Eastsidemini!!

Welcome to NAM........finally!!!!!

I admire your bravery, uh, tenacity, to venture into something like this
You might have found a niche in Paradise
Now, ya just got to find a "reputable" shop.......so we won't have to force Eric from Helix to leave his cozy home and fly out to Hawaii every winter.

I hear ya! The reality of economics, and supply and demand are serious business success factors.

A distributership with local shops is a good idea.

Aloha!

My thanks to you for all the input. This opportunity is already taking off in such a short time. I am focusing on my inventory list with the company M7 on some very exciting products. Let me know if you need anything in the near future. Call me 721-1733 anytime.
