1:72 scale MINI's
Aloha Gang!-
I visited Price Busters in Kalihi today (same shopping area as Food Land) and they had about two and a half boxes of 1:72 scale MINI's. I bought a couple of metalic blue models. I also saw red, yellow, something kind of like Pepper White and British Racing Green. They are made by Cararama and sell for $1.99.
There was also another roughly 1:48 scale friction model for the same price I believe. It had the most garish totally chromed interior!

Hi! Didn't see any cabrios and haven't seen any at any of my other usual haunts, Kaybee, Toys-R-Us, Wal Mart. By the way, my girl friend thinks I'm nuts. I guess I have something like 30-different models from various manufacturers!

1:72 Scale Update
Aloha gang-
Just in case you are a Cooper collectable nut like I am here is an update on our friends at Price Buster in Kalihi.
I went by today and decided to pick-up a complete box (36-cars) of the 1:72 scale Cararama MINI Coopers. I had to go through five boxes to get a complete set of six colors (insanity, I know!). Anyway the shelf price tagged them at $1.00 each, same price I paid last two trips. I get to the counter and they ring at $1.99 each. John is not having a good day now!
Sales girl says these are priced higher (nah!). John says your shelf tag says $1.00 each! Sales girl says computer states $1.99. John says false and misleading pricing!
Long story short, Ms. store manager aggreed but immediately kicked the shelf tag up to $1.99. So . . . I hope I didn't mess it up for anyone else who is crazy as I am and intending on buying 36 pieces of painted plastic and pot metal!
