The newer F56 models have a non typical turbo set up.

It acts more like a vacuum (eventuri effect). As you drive, the pipe creates suction and pulls heat away from the turbos

Nope, they are my street wheels. I don't really go to the track since I don't have time for that type of hobby. The tracks here in SoCal are pretty out of the way.

I've been to PECLA (Porsche experience center) and I am planning to attend a BMW M driving event my wife got me for my birthday in Thermal, CA over the winter, but that is it for my track days lol

Thank you!!

The shop recommended these Nankang CRS tires over my Cup 2 Connect (240s). So far, they are a TON more comfortable than the Cup 2s in daily driving... I didn't lose any steering response or precision so I am pretty happy with them.

Cool.. Keep us posted on how CRS performs. Don't mind giving them a try as I've always been a Michelin user

Just bumped this topic as the content is 3 years older now and I assume some GP tuning may have occurred outside of warranty and perhaps people have now formed a different opinion about the correct / best oils to use, and has there been any cross shopping with the BMW communities choice with their own variant of this engine/ turbo combination?

(why do I ask ? I’m due a oil change and been running a dervtech tune since January on a 22 plate Jcw with more power than the stock GP3)

LIQUI MOLYLeichtlauf High Tech 5W-40 for all our cars, GP included from first oil change. GP has over 34K on the clock.. No issues and no tune on the engine yet. Still trying to modulate the torque steer on full throttle even with 245/35/18s.
