New, Looking to get into a GP

Hi Everyone,
I am new to the website and Minis. My father and I collect cars, and I have owned many special performance cars in the last year or so. I just recently stopped DD my performance/special cars and bought a base 2.5 Jetta with a five speed as a run around car that I do not need to worry about too much. I have car OCD and keep them in mint shape. I have been bitten by the GP bug lately and want a GP1/2/3 as a daily driver. I am wondering just how cheap I can get into a GP1/2 for? Saw a GP at the local Mini dealer, and the new one really is beautiful. Looks like Porsche built a Mini, everything about it appeals to me even though it is auto and I am a manual die hard the looks are just amazing - but It is expensive and for a DD for me, and I am curious how the GP1/2 are as far as daily driveability. I love the looks of the GP2 but worry the engine will be unreliable and bland - compared to my most recent DD at least (mk3 Focus RS, RS2 package w/forged wheels and sport cup 2 tires) - hoping I can find a gp1 or 2 for around 15k with some miles to DD. What should i look for? where is the easiest place to find these for sale? Thanks

I traded in my 17 focus RS 3 years ago for a F56, I also bought a GP2 the same year. I barely drove either one, but I don't like RS seating position, both cars have stiff suspension, both can have pop and bang exhaust after a tune, so I don't feel much difference between the car for a DD. bringatrailer.com has the most GP for sale, but I don't remember seeing any less than 18k. As far as reliability, N18 engine is much reliable than the earlier N14. My GP has 60k miles and all 4 cylinders are 180 psi in compression test recently, no complaint.

GP2 all the way, as it has the more reliable N18 and its a MANUAL!
And you can forget trying to find one for $15k, they a limited edition car (collectable) and anybody who has one KNOWS what it is.
Plus i'd be leery getting one that cheap, thats a sign its probably been in an accident.

My GP (#158) may be for sale soon. 49K miles, new tires, new battery, full size spare, lots of carbon fiber upgrades (have original OEM pieces) all maintenance up to date, no issues.
