Front Stock Coilover Issue

Mine were replaced with OEM at 18K, now at 30K they need replacing again. What do people suggest for another manufacturer, and is the failure rate with other brands still an issue? Mine is a daily driver and track car, GP2.

I have a banging noise going over bumps. Also, while in for state inspection the dealer showed me that both fronts had movement in them.

The first batch of stock GP2 factory suspension has this issue. We have people buy the factory ones from us and just replace them. At one point we had all the factory GP2 suspension parts, so dealers were buying them from us.

If you want to preserve the nature of the GP2 and keep it OEM: 31306858041 and 31306858042

If you just want to switch out the whole kit you can go with Ohlins,

Good info, thank you ECS. The first set makes sense, the second set was done about 18 months ago, so not sure if that would fall under the original batch or not.
The original rears have some kind of crud or corrosion on the top 2 or 3 coils. Car makes a clunk noise when rocked side to side, like hitting a dip in the road on just one side of the car. I have not been able to determine if it is the coils or something else, but the sway bar bushings and end links check out ok. Thoughts?
