2013 GP Price Question
2013 GP Price Question
Newbie lurker here, my 1st post so please excuse me if this has been raised before.
I've driven and will most likely purchase a GP before YE although not at the dealer asking prices. A few dealers have used GPs on their lots but instead of being CPO cars (which is what I would expect) they're Mini Next Pre-Owned. Why would that be?
BTW, I've been reading through many of the threads here and must say am stoked to hopefully be a part of the community. Lots of good intel and vibe!

I almost picked one up in Kansas for 34.9k!
With 2k miles!
But found a local dealer that wanted to unload his new one, so itook that deal instead.
There's a few out there
If anyone goes for the one in Kansas, deal with Lisa, she's great

"MINI Next" is the name of the MINI CPO program. That is a huge bonus on the GP as it has many bespoke parts (like the suspension) which will also be covered.
Sorry I was gone for a few days but in answer to the question "where", the ones I saw online were in Scottsdale, AZ but they aren't listed on the dealer website as CPO, just used. So that's why I asked the question. Do you think they're track cars and therefor voided?

no way an auto x would void a warranty......unless you drove it into the ground, lol although I remember when Subaru and mitsu took a hard stance on that, even though when you bought a car and they gave u a SCCA MEMBERSHIP :-)
Prestige MINI is advertising a CPO'd GP. 6 yr/100K warranty at a discounted price. Not bad.

Hey JRS66, that's some hard-core devotion to track that info! I check the dealers' GP inventories in SoCal about once every 2 weeks and can tell you that most have at least 1 and some have 3-4. They all list starting at #39k and go UP from there. I don't think they're selling that many, maybe just trading amongst themselves?
FWIW, invoice is ~$37k....they will not loose $7k to sell a new car.
local dealer here sold 2 2012 Coupes for 29k, the list was $39k...there are incentives they quietly use after a year, but not before, same car i was going to buy they wanted 37k back in Jan/Feb this year, by June/July 29k, after i bought my coupe and went to look at a GP salesman was like why didnt you buy my coupe, i said plainly for $37k? if you told me 29k in Feb ya i wouldnt have left without it...just got the smirk..lmao!
The dealer has an incentive to sell their inventory fast, which is why trendy cars rarely ever get discounted...like the GP. The problem is the dealer has financed their inventory and there comes a point when a car has become too expensive to park on the lot. This is when they are forced to drop their price. The dealer would rather take a hit on the bottom line of the sale than continue to make payments for a car not likely to sell for sticker (or even invoice). The real key is to know which inventory is aged and prime for a deal. And this is where it pays to have a friend in the car business.

Littleton only has 4 now. Paid 38.4 with 500 off via USAA. couldn't get it out of my head after I drove it when I took my '10 JCW In for service. Made the JCW feel like an SUV so I left it and came home with the GP. they're still sticking to their guns on the price. That dealer doesn't haggle-the salesman has a spreadsheet that tells him how much he takes off of any of the models depending on how long it's been on the lot then subtract for incentives. Very transparent and easy. They do the same for their BMWs and Hondas. I like negotiating so I feel like I'm leaving a little on the table but was easy...
I spent a lot of last week trying to find those #s before I pulled the trigger on the 17th. Very interesting and thanks for putting them up. Looks like about 125/500 are still left. Littleton is Ralph Schomp in Denver btw. These five were a second allocation from CA. This is a pretty good market-Colorado is a fun place to have a mini (mountains and High Plains Raceway), but it's a lot more fun on Kumhos in the summer. I think they'll sell but the price will start to go down some more this winter.
