GP 2 winter tires

Anyone figure out what there doing for winter tires yet?

I've got a set off my JCW in the garage, but just realized the other rims were 7.0 and the GP is 7.5 so I'm assuming they won't fit

Hey Jibber, The width of the wheel will be fine. It's the offset and spacing for the brakes that matter most. (Test fit them and see if they clear the front brakes on the GP) They are your winter wheels so they don't need to be so wide. I've been looking at the konig feather's with either LM60's or Wintersport 3D.

If they are the stock jcw 17's they fit on the rear no problem. On my car the front fits with a 10mm spacer

Not using jcw wheels, but using the rubber on the GP rims

Any other suggestions for a snow wheel/tire setup? I need to get a set ordered here soon.

When I got my GP, I was given an extra set of GP Wheels with run flat winter tires. The winter tires were Pirelli Sottozero Serie II 240 Run Flats in 205/45/17. These tires are however not available on Tirerack for some reason, but at least I hope that can give you what the factory thinks should be put on.

I had a set of Pirelli Sottezero II's non-run flat on my last MINI and they worked well. I believe they were 215/45/17's.

Might try Dunlop SP Winter Sport 3D's or Blizzak LM-32's this season.

Blizzaks ftw. 205/45/17 fits fine on stock rims. I like LM-60s.
