I can't say anything about it being different feeling as I haven't installed a standard brace on the car to compare, also I'm breaking it in so I haven't been running it hard yet.

I'll have to weight my stock wheels when we swap the tires this week.

The GP2 stutbrace doesn't fit anything before 11/2012 (that's the date on RealOEM) - I also found out the hard way when I bought one for a customer who had a 09 plate FJCW and the bolt holes on the strut top don't align up... I'm now stuck with a £200 bar in my garage until I can find out for sure that it fits a 2013 model Mini

What wasn't aligned about it? Did it just need to be adjusted like the original JCW bar?

The strut bolts don't align with the plates on the strutbrace - around 10mm out. They seem to have changed the strut plates and their positioning on the GP2 and presumably (more like hopefully for me, so I can sell the bloody thing on) R56's thereafter.

So basically the bar and it's plates are too wide for the cars strut towers?

For the wheels:

The GP2 wheel weight is ~ 22lbs each.

http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/36116856220/

There was not much info on these about them.

I did find this:

" To fit such large brakes and calipers within the 17-inch alloy wheels required a little bit of jiggery-pokery. We spoke to MINI's chief chassis engineer, Robert Stumpf, and he explained the unusual four-spoke alloy wheels are not just cast, but "flow-formed" to increase the space available inside the wheel without reducing strength. "

Hope that helps.

This is a definite get for me, especially knowing it works with auto tranny cars too. Answers a major need for me.

Wow....about time someone got it in stock in the US! Part number still doesn't show up in the system so I already ordered this in UK for pretty much the exact same price.

Anyone have the part numbers for the "rear seat" or rear seat delete?

How about the red bar? I wonder if that can even be added on a non-GP. Would have to cut up the rear interior panels.

From my understanding the panels are specific to the GP and were designed to work with the RSD. So by buying the panels and rear seat delete kit, you should, in theory, have the holes in place for the bar.

I believe it was on only the Euro models. This fits 1/2010 + models. Which cover the GP 2. You will have two bolts screw already there and you pop them out mounts to the plastic brackets and insert triangle in its the red case (blue case for -1/2010 models ).

We have it here:

Here are the mounts for the left and right 71107272405 & 71107272406

Thanks Inkw8ll for the kind words.

I am glad I could help.

For other Euro items ideas: For the rear is the Euro first aid kit. Might fit the the rear in the tool compartment kit, on other models you can just put it in the trunk. Just watch seating in the trunk as you don't have a back seat so its not flying around.

European First Aid Kit - With Black Case Part number 71107263439 For all MINIs

http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/SiteSearch/71107263439/

We have the MINI oil storage bags in stock which will stick the trunk carpet, but might also fit in the storage compartment. How much room do you have in the storage compartment, last time I looked at one there was some room in there for small stuff.

Oil Storage Bag - MINI Part number 83292158849 For all MINIs

http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/SiteSearch/83292158849/ES2159795/

The floor cargo next sections would be good to use. The GP I believe has the mounts like the R56 models . The side sails would not work as they have to hook up near the rear decks shelf mount, and the GP 2 does not have one. #7 bottom trunk net.

Luggage Net - Main Section Part number 51472754568

http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/SiteSearch/51472754568/

Thanks and that will give you some more OEM add on ideas.
