GP scores first AutoX win

I did a BMWCCA AutoX event this past Sat. - the GP lived up to its name and delivered yet another win for me (this was my third time - running - first in the GP) Car is allot of fun, the LSD I'm sure is the biggest help - I ran on the stock 18's and runflats....felt fine, did fade on the third run. (I rotated my tires at the event and was shocked at how light they were, I didn't weight them but did compare to some other sets of tires and rims people had lying around and was impressed at how light they are)

Link for an in-car video I took (posted by a buddy who converted it)

Well the car is part of it - I won the last one in my 05' MCS (that had plenty of mods).... but the GP is a nice driver too.

I am sure driving had a lot to do with that. Great job, very nice. I can't wait till the day I have time to get into auto-x. 3.5 years and counting...

This is BMWCCA in San Diego, all of the MINIs were in one class. If this had been SCCA, the GP would have been in DSP.

For the record, since I have seen Jacques a few times now, he has got skills.

Dave is the one with skills - I'm sure if I were in a 'justacooper' I couldn't do his times.....Its a fun activity, maybe one day I'll take an instructor course and see what I can do with some mods (maybe some R's) but for now...just doing it for fun and hanging with friends in the paddock.
Ow Ow!!

Congrats!

Watched the video. Car makes the difference, but it sure helps to drive smoothly (I sure don't).
