picking GP up tomorrow

congrats... you will love it cause it's a mini.... but you will have a very special car cause it's a GP.... I wish I could get one... cuase I would... one for me and stoopid... they are that great!
I'm totally jealous of you.
Definitely bring a camera. When I picked up my MINI from the dealer, they had it in the showroom. It has never been cleaner since. Luckily, I shot some great pictures of it before taking delivery.
But the best part was that they let me drive the car out of the dealership. I felt like a VIP!
Maybe you'll get the same opportunity.

got it!!
picked up at 3pm today.....got aquainted over a 150 mile ride home. Since we're not supposed to rev past 4500 yet i tested out the braking and suspension......wow!!!....did all you guys stick to that break in reccomendation??, i'm very tempted to hammer the throttle.
I'm up to 900 miles - and so far I'm just getting used to the car - using the breaks and handling... but taking it easy with the right side peddle - 300 more miles and I'll put the hammer down like you said - can't wait!
What a killer car - it really is allot nicer than my 05' MCS - we are really spoiled - Mini did such a good job with the GP's - I am so thrilled with my purchase ~

Many of us (with more miles on our GP's) would probably add that it keeps getting better as the engine gets a few thousand miles on the clock.
Once you complete the primary break-in miles, it's probably a good idea to gradually open it up (versus "click" hammering on it hard and long once x,xxx miles have been reached).
