Hello.
Last night, after stalking my local mini dealership for 1 year, I've finally popped my MINI cherry!
I was horrified that people would purchase the GP, and not drive off with it the same night. There were 4 GP's this past weekend. 2 of which were sitting outside on the dealer lot in the back. 2 in the showroom (one of which became mine).
Some poor bloke lost out on his financing. I was advised that I was the only female owner. (Ladies! What the bloody hell is wrong with you! The bar still has a baby seat point if you needed it. *knocks on wood*)
Paid MSRP with TTL. Very happy.
I love the drive, although, I sit rather high in the car in order to get closer so I can push the clutch in. I really wish there was a way that I can sit passenger level and closer to the steering wheel.
Perhaps this is inexperience? I dunno. My friend said it looked like MINI installed a booster seat for me when he saw me driving up.
So...love my Baby! I was thinking of naming him...Vincent, or Alexander, or Francis. He will have a middle name...so, perhaps Vincent Alexander Cooper!
Will have piccy's up later. Perhaps if the sun ever comes out. He's a storm baby... we had tornado/severe thunderstorm/large hail advisory last night. But, I got him safely into the garage.

Congrats on your purchase and welcome to NAM !

Thank you everyone.
Yay! I just thought there'd be at least one more in my area. We have one dealership here in the city. I was advised that we were granted 7 GP's.
The other 6 were sold to male buyers.

Did you figure out that you can raise and lower the drivers seat? There are two levers under the seat. One of them allows you to move the seat foward and back. The other you can pump up and down to raise and lower the seaat. You should be able to lower your seat to make it the same height as the passengar. Enjoy!
Congratulations!

Right, Lizzy ??
lol, actually, I was hoping that I could reach without having to use the lever bar.
The only way I can push the clutch or the brake all the way in is if I scoot all the way to the front and crank up my seat. Otherwise I'm pushing down with my tippy toes.
5ft of napoleon complex...lol...
MD hopefully. I am studying right now and I just moved over to a prn slot (pays more since I lose my medical benefits that I don't use anyways).
I work nights (12 hour shifts) as a respiratory therapist, usually 3 days out of the week (this will also taper down soon to hopefully just weekends).
My primary areas are the emergency room, intermediate floors, and rehab (post accident, not drugs). I take care of patients in those 3 areas. I love my job, but, wouldn't mind taking a crack at medical school. There are certain things I'd like to do sometimes, and I can't because they are out of my scope of practice.

What I meant was that I was hoping I could get closer, without having to raise the seat.
As of now, I have the seat pulled up all the way, but, I still have some difficulty in pushing down the clutch and brake if I don't crank the seat higher.
I'm not really used to sitting so high in a car. That's all. I suppose it's something that I will get used to.
