First pics taken tonight (thank's Stupidgirl) Looking forward to getting this car out and motoring!
Guys at Brecht Mini in Escondido got me in the car, and I was super happy with my deal - Really fair guys and I recommend them highly! Thanks to Sean Sunda my salesman from Brecht - he was super cool to work with.
BTW: They have 1 left (#1333)

Nope - (I think the GP's have been in their inventory for a while) and it was decided by management to get them out there - they made one happy customer....ME!!!
btw: Brecht gave me a great buy on my trade - all-in-all a great experience!

Did my first run in the Geepee today - what can I say, its pretty freakin' great! I didn't think a car would handle better than my MCS, but the GP is something special. Karl (STI guy) and I ran the hill today, and I was smoking him even while keeping it under 4500rpm - I can't wait till its broken in - I need to put some miles on this thing quick! (Lets get out soon - who's in?)
How's the new sig? (thanks Minvader)

Insurance?
If you do not mind, how does the cost of the Insurance compare with the two of them? Percentage wise...
Old man like me cannot help but think of the impractrical side of things sometimes.
Nice looking, how about some shots in the full sun.

I haven't taken any pics yet (just the ones at night that my buddies took)
I'll try and snap some soon! -
I went from a 2003 MC to GP1292. I am 46 with great record etc. Mine went up $400 per year.
Mercury Insurance is my company - they were the cheapest when I was shopping around - I pay just under $370 (I guess its $349 now though) for 6 months and live in San Diego Cali - I'm 35 years old with a good driving record (let's hope I can keep it that way - something tells me I'm going to be getting some tickets in this thing though! ha-ha)
Well, I do know that Deb got her GP from them and she paid MSRP. She was a long time MA there, tho, so maybe that helped. I honestly thought they generally sold at MSRP, but I really don't know their policy on that.
I know she worked over on the BMW side for a while before the MINIs came along. I'm hoping to stop by after work today... so we'll see... Although I'd place the odds on me signing on the dotted line at being between slim and none... as much as I'd like to have one, I need a 5th car like a hole in the head...
Well, after a miserable drive on the PA turnpike, I succumbed to temptation and stopped at Princeton MINI to take a look. Turns out they have TWO GPs in stock. #1927 in the showroom and another one in the 1400's (not seen). The sales guy I spoke with said they sold 5 above MSRP, but have been sitting on these two for a few weeks now. $31150 ea. Soooo tempting...
Recently I had to have something done to my car and Sean (my Sales guy) drove me home himself, on his dime, as a favor - couldn't ask for better service... I think they're great folks.. and Jim (the sales manager) is a fair person to deal with.
We'll see you at the next autox?
Jacques, that is one SCHAWEET ride!
And I am honoured to have it's Twin.
I bought the second/last GP mentioned in this thread, GP#1333, which has a VIN number 1 off of Shark's.
The Brecht guys were great. They looked after me fairly well. Sean and Julio were the ones that helped me out. Sean definitely knows a thing or two about the cars, and is hands down the most MINI knowledgeable sales person I've ever met.
While there at Brecht they mentioned that by January they will have a MINI ONLY Service facility, and it is HUGE. They will be the first and only dealership in the country to do so!
Isn't that awesome? I will be looking forward to how this new facility performs compared to other dealerships.
So BIG THANKS to Jacques for giving me the heads up and hook up on the GP, and BIG THANKS to Brecht for selling it for a great deal.

Now its going to be time for a full detail - I'm going to hold you to your very generous offer of helping with it....
Today I couldn't bare to get the GeePee dusty.....so I rode my Husqvarna to work instead:-)... the Shark is resting comfortably in the garage - he looked tired and sore after his big day on the mountain yesterday (I tell you, having to keep it under 4500rpm is killing poor Shark - he wants to go! but I'm holding him back... for his own good - he needs to give me a long life!)

Another gouging dealer..........
