I love the Mini Cooper JCW GP car

I just cannot justify buying one with a fast Mini right now

But I really want to buy the European spec Mini GP Recaros for my car

I will settle for any Factory Mini Recaros for my car if someone can help me get them

See in Europe, you can order a Mini with factory installed Recaro seats along with the JCW seats, but I like the Recaros more

Please someone help me

You would have to import them yourself from the UK. The issue is the lack of the side airbag for the US.

 

I thought the factory seats from europe had the side impact airbags but did not have the passenger sensing system that is required in the US

If you look at the 05 and newer cars, they have a switch installed under the passenger seat that senses how much weight is sitting in the seat to determine if the seat has a kid on it or not

There was a discussion on Mini 2 about the possible group purchase of GP Recaros through newministuff.com . I think the subject may have been dropped due to excessive cost as the initial estimate might have been close to $5000 for the pair before shipping to the USA. Not positive if my memory is correct on these. If the cost was reasonable i would be all for a pair. Also considering trying to get a set of JCW Sparcos as a second option but i believe these don't have height adjustment which would be at least a minor drag. Either option is going to involve a certian amount of hassle as you will have to purchase in UK and arrange shipping.
