How many cars did Pontiac sell with the GP name? What are their ties to GP?
With MINI/Mini at least their are some links.
May not work for you, but facts are facts.

Yeah, well at least the Mini GP is in good company. The Pontiac Grand Prix is one hell of a car.

On vacation in Kauai Hawaii. Just saw GP 0058 (think that was the number), made a U-turn to catch up in the resort parking lot but it disappeared.

While there is nothing official from the company, it is associated with Grand Performance. The GP is always the most powerful and highest track capable MINI of its generation.

Black Leather Dash with red stitching was a $1,000 option on all Gen2 (R55, R56, R57, R58 & R59) John Cooper Works models. It was standard on the 2013 R56 JCW GP. The leather dash was not an option nor available for the 1st and 3rd (current) models.

I think the original question pertained to the optional (and now NLA) 3-piece JCW leather dash (like this one with red stitching). It was also in black, red, blue, green, gray, white, yellow, brown and beige stitching. This kit was a dealer installed option for any R53/R52.

Yep they had them back in the day, if i remember we only got the red and black stitch option. Europe got the other color options. People would get their GP with that standard GP dash then have the dealer flip out to the leather.
Some people had Micheal ( John Coopers son) sign them at MTTS 2006 in the GP/ Other MINIs. I remember seeing some of these as they travels across the states.

wow, i wonder how much one of those goes for now! I'm guessing it would be cheaper to just get it done at a local place.

Thats pretty cool, I never seen the other colors in person, I have the really rare red stitched down tubes in my R52, they did those in colors also. They are NLA also now.

They match the GP red stitched brake boot and shifter boot you can still get. I have those also.

Yeah, probably the price of some higher mileage R5*'s! I like the position of the highbeam in the center dash too.

Very nice ECS! Your car looks great! I'd love to do those on my GP and get them to match the brake cover.
