Mini GP 0089 For Sale

So I am sadly thinking about putting the GP up for sale. I have absolutely loved this car, but my fiance' and I are thinking about moving and will need something bigger. I have made a Craigslist ad for it with the specs but I will add pictures on here.

Asking $19,000 or best offer

GLWS. We were just discussing the value of GPs this morning in the shop--we have a GP here that a used car dealer brought to us with a blown motor, and a certain (blue haired) staff member was licking his chops. He wasn't able to come to a love connection with the dealership.

That is sad indeed! Are you all rebuilding the engine?

Good luck with the sale. I'm sure it's not an easy decision.

Regarding our friend Mr. Bluehawk, he'll get one some day

I'm not sure what he wants. We're assembling the motor as we speak.

Eric, I was asking what the GP number is of the one you are rebuilding the motor. If it comes for sale I will then know that although the motor was rebuilt.....it was done right because of you.

Yeah, Mikey (Helix's head technician) and I were talking about that yesterday. I'm not at the shop right now but I will post it. We are also leaving a tell-tale sign that a practiced eye will be able to tell by looking carefully at the motor that it has been messed with...

There plenty of GP's out there. Hope you find one soon. I say save the money and put the money into your Golf R and stage 3 it. Good luck with your hunt

It's a great car and a stage 1+ now. But honestly, it's no MINI.

I've seen this a few times with GP's. Not convinced its all because people think they can flip and make $$. Suspect its more likely that some just aren't up for the harshness and lack of creature comforts offered (and I don't mean this to be a bad thing as I'm also looking).

Other ideas?

Anyhow, congrats miniGP89!

AJ

No I don't live in PA, I live in Northern VA. I found the listing on Cars.com and drove up to see it and eventually decided to pull the trigger. Haven't had any issues except for having to replace the two stage cooling fan and replaced the power steering hoses. I had it up on a rack not too long ago and the previous owners did a great job of keeping it in great shape.

People who know MINI's tend to always want a special edition like the GP, and human nature is that you always want something so bad, you buy it, satisfy your need to want it and then move on, thus having many owners of each GP! And they are now 9 years old! Lol
