Cleaning GP Seats

I do this for the "space cloth" seats and would think the same would work for you.
What ever cleaner you use (I use just water in a spray bottle & a light misting of some aerosol cleaner)
Clean your spots . then to finish make sure that all of the cloth is equally wet.
and let it air dry . Otherwise you will have a mottled look and or be chasing spots for ever

I also have had problems trying to clean the cloth inserts without full success. These are just minor shaded spots.
- I have tried various foam cleaners without being able to fully remove the spots.
- I have rubbed the spots with a damp towel without success.
- I have used a scrub brush to try and really get into the fibers but that just created fuzz ***** that I had to trim off.
- Even with getting the whole insert damp, it still comes out a little blochy where I scrubbed the spots.
Next I will try the suggested water/cleaner on spots and get the whole insert wet with water.

UP-DATE: Over the week-end, I tried another product, SUN MAGIC. It's a butter-like gel in a small plastic tub. Following directions, I dissolved two tablespoons in 2 qts. of warm water. I immersed and wrung out a small terrycloth washcloth, then applied to the seat insert in a circular motion evenly, immersing and wringing out the cloth again when needed. Then, using a clean, dry towel, dried the insert as best I could. Allowed it to dry overnight and the results were much improved. Perhaps one more application and the "splotchiness" will have disappeared.

Just an FYI for anyone who has a GP in the future and needs help getting out stains, here's my process.
I used the foam brush carpet stain remover. Scrubbed it in, let it sit, and then used a damp terry cloth to get most of the soap out. I then took my steamer and fully soaked the cloth. Let it cool a litle and then took a clean terry cloth and blotted the surface. I did every day for about a week and i removed all the deep dirt out of the cloth. They now look almost brand new! Hope this helps someone in the future!
