I'm tied up the rest of the month with home projects. March would be better for me. I'm free every weekend also.

 

Meet up would be a lot of fun but maybe somewhere where we can all go for a cruse afterwards.My suggestion would be somewhere in the SFV, because towards the santa monica mountains there are some awesome roads!

 

Stunt Rd, Piuma, and Tuna Canyon....many good times up there...

 

Maybe we can coordinate a Mini GP meet with a Glendora Mtn Run? I run my GP with my M5 buddies and we meet up at a nice restruant in Upland afterwards to eat and hang out. Its good company. They don't care of other makes come too. The more the merrier. Next run is going to be in March I believe. If there is interest then I can help coordinate on this end.

I'm up for it. Unfortunately I'm traveling in the middle of March but if timing works out I'd be interested to join. I can also ask a buddy of mine who's got a 04 M3 and 06 Z roadster. He's done that run before.

 

I can tell you guys that our GPs do really well on GMR.

Mini Cooper is the Marque car at the 22 June 2014 SuperCar Sunday gathering in Woodland Hills, CA. After the car gathering there is a drive planned through the mountains then a free lunch. I plan to take my GP. Supercar Sunday is an informal car gathering with many expensive and interesting cars. Usually more than 100 cars show up.

Maybe I'll go to Supercar Sunday, I'm actually off that day for once. Although 7am is really early for me to drive up from OC :-/

 

I do not plan to get to SuperCar Sunday until about 8:30. Then spend on hour or so looking at cars. The Mini Cooper drive will start at 9:30-10:00 from the parking lot.

Yes I am coming from the Santa Maria area. There is a group driving down from Thousand Oaks (Motoring Magic) at 6:30 but that is too early for me. I have not decided whether I am driving down on Saturday night or early Sunday morning, probably Saturday night because I can stay at my In-Laws in Woodland Hills on Saturday night.

 

I would be up for this, I'm driving from Ventura in my GP2

 

Ok if you end up doing that, maybe we can plan on meeting up together in Woodland Hills like at a Starbucks or something, which is right down the street from the Topanga mall...?

Do a separate GP meet up for those of us separate from the caravan at Motoring Magic?

Thank you to Scott from Motoring Magic for all the organizing and sponsoring the lunch. I had a great time other than for the 30 minute stop on Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) to resolve an electronic problem (I believe caused by the accelerator pedal module).

There were about 40 Mini Coopers at the SuperCar Sunday gathering in Woodland Hills, CA, many from the SCMM club. In total there were more than 200 cars at the gathering.

After SuperCar Sunday, about 25 MINIs took a 50 mile drive through the Santa Monica Mountains. The drive was led by Scott from Motoring Magic. We started down Topanga Canyon, headed west on Mulholland Drive, then turned south up the twisty Stunt Road and took a break at the top of Stunt Rd with beautiful views towards the Pacific Ocean. After the short break we headed south on Schueren Rd then west on Piuma Rd (another fun twisty road) to Malibu Canyon Rd. We went south on Malibu Canyon Rd down to Pacific Coast Highway (PCH or CA-1). We then went West (North) on PCH along the Pacific Ocean to Decker Rd (aka CA-23). We headed north with a drive up and down the very twisty Decker Rd to Westlake and US-101.

After the drive we headed to Lavaggio – The Art of Auto Detailing in Agoura Hills for a catered lunch. Lavaggio is a beautiful operation and we had a delicious lunch on their patio. If you are in the Agoura Hills area and need a wash or detail, make sure to check out Lavaggio's. After lunch we all headed our own way. Vicki and I headed to the California Science Center, see photo with Mini in front of SR-71.

 

That was talked about a while ago....no formal plans were made

I'm down whenever though, usually can only go during the week though.
